Core Businesses: Programs and Services

  • Housing
    Room, board and clothes provided in a safe, clean, comfortable, charming Christian home (drug-free/smoke-free/caffeine-free) with supportive services.
  • Discipleship
    Spiritual Development through Bible principles, study and fellowship.
  • Training
    Training for marketable skills with competitive wages including-- job skill training, entrepreneurship training, life skills, personal development, self-esteem/confidence builder, and accountability training.
  • Job Preparation/Job Referral
    Resume writing, interview training, dress for success, job leads with potential employers Leading to stable employment.
  • Personal Development
    Personal growth development through increased self-esteem and assertiveness training leading to positive, productive habits.
  • Substance Abuse Support Groups
    Christian-based 12 step program.
  • Mentoring
    Commitment to the growth and well-being of individuals through long-term, interactive, personal relationships (with both Christian women and other successfully re-integrated socially disadvantaged women) that are characterized by unconditional love, respect, ethics and spiritual maturity. Additionally, support groups for specific types of challenges/dependencies will be made available to support the individual's recovery.
  • Counseling
    Group and individual counseling and assessments available and are provided by Christian counselors
  • Permanent Housing Assistance
    Assistance in transitioning from The Abundant Life Network program to a more permanent residence via a bank of landlords who have agreed a) to lease and b) to provide considerations to the socially disadvantaged despite their previous histories.
  • Case Management
    The Abundant Life Network, staff will be responsible for managing each clients case based on their needs, requirements and their priorities through the use of written individualized case management plans to which the client has agreed.

Future Possibilities

Because the Mission of The Abundant Life Network is to meet the spiritual, emotional, physical and intellectual needs of impoverished individuals with broken spirits, this organization aspires to identify the appropriate populations that are most in need of our services and aligning that population with the services that are available to those populations.


Existing Programs

Currently we have 3 programs involving the ex-incarcerated. The Abundant Life Network has chosen the ex-incarcerated population as its first project, which involves three different program levels to re-integration into society.

Program #1- Aftercare Facility with 100% supportive services. (6 months)

  • Structured, disciplined living environment
  • Bible study and spiritual development classes
  • Self
  • esteem and recovery classes
  • Participation in all program activities (chores, fundraisers)
  • Rigid adherence to House Rules and Policies of The Abundant Life Network
  • Basic needs provided (bed, food, clothing)
  • No working outside of The Abundant Life Network's program (You will not be able to earn any money for 6 months while in this program)
  • 24 hour supervision
  • No drugs/smoking/caffeine (periodic UA tests will be done)
  • Mentor relationships
  • Job Training/skills development
  • Job placement and housing placement assistance

Program #2- Progressive Independence Facility (6 months)

  • Assisted housing (rent and utilities-$400/month)
  • Shared rooms
  • Minimum supervision by on-site Night Assistant
  • Rigid adherence to House Rules and Policies of The Abundant Life Network
  • No drugs/smoking (periodic UA tests will be done)
  • Unsupervised time (M-F, 7am-5:30pm and weekends minimum supervision)
  • Spiritual development (Mandatory church attendance on Wed and Sun; daily journal)
  • Mandatory attendance at The Abundant Life Network's recovery class
  • (Optional spiritual development classes available)
  • Mentor relationships
  • Peer group meetings for building a Christian housing community
  • Mandatory participation in fundraising events 2 Saturdays per month

Program #3- Independent Living (Must complete either phase #1 or Phase #2 program)

  • Full independence to come and go as individual pleases
  • Rent (negotiated by landlord)
  • Rents will differ for a shared room or private room situation
